1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing LekhaPara.in, using our agent portal, placing orders, or accessing digital educational content, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.
LekhaPara Publication is a unit of Choudhury Enterprise (MSME Registered), operating from Malda, West Bengal, India. These terms apply to both our physical textbook publishing division and digital educational content division.
2. Physical Textbook Division Terms
2.1 Agent Eligibility
To become a LekhaPara agent, you must:
- Operate a registered bookshop near schools or madrasas
- Have an active WhatsApp account for business communication
- Serve schools within your assigned pincode area only
- Complete the registration process and receive official credentials
2.2 Ordering and Payment
Minimum Order Quantity: 10 copies per book title per order. Combined totals across multiple titles do not satisfy the 10-copy minimum per individual title.
Payment Terms: 100% advance payment required before books are packed and shipped. No credit extended under any circumstances, regardless of agent history or relationship length.
Payment Methods: Cash (office visits) or UPI only. Payment details sent via WhatsApp after order confirmation.
Order Cancellation: Orders cannot be cancelled after payment confirmation and packing begins. Contact LekhaPara immediately after payment if critical concerns arise.
2.3 Pricing and Discounts
Agent Pricing:
- New inventory books (2020-2025 stock): 55% discount from Maximum Retail Price (MRP)
- Old inventory books (2016-2020 stock): 75% discount from MRP
Shipping Charges:
- Orders below ₹5,000: Agent pays shipping charges calculated by ShipRocket
- Orders ₹5,000 and above: LekhaPara absorbs shipping charges at no cost to agent
Price Changes: Prices and inventory availability subject to change without notice. LekhaPara reserves the right to modify pricing, discontinue titles, or limit order quantities based on stock availability.
2.4 Specimen Copies
Specimen copies provided free for promotional purposes only. Agents cannot resell specimen copies to schools or individuals. Allocation based on performance tier and schools served. Misuse results in account termination.
2.5 Delivery Terms
Standard Delivery: 3-5 days via ShipRocket courier service across West Bengal.
Delivery Responsibility: LekhaPara’s responsibility ends once books are handed to ShipRocket courier. Delivery delays caused by courier service are beyond LekhaPara’s control.
Tracking: Tracking links sent via WhatsApp after courier pickup.
Multiple Packages: Large orders may ship in multiple packages with separate tracking numbers.
2.6 Returns and Refunds
Damaged Books: Return within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence (minimum 5 pictures showing damaged areas and complete package). LekhaPara reviews evidence, raises dispute with ShipRocket if damage confirmed, and repacks/reships order for free.
Non-Damaged Returns: Accepted only if books in good condition after manual inspection. Books in poor condition rejected as they indicate improper storage for extended periods.
Refund Method: All refunds issued as ledger credit only. No cash or bank transfer refunds. Ledger credit automatically reduces cost of future orders.
2.7 Territory and Competition
One Agent Per Pincode: LekhaPara registers only one agent per pincode to avoid territorial conflicts.
School Verification: Agents must submit booklist photos as proof of school engagement before orders are processed.
Territory Restrictions: Claiming schools or placing orders outside assigned pincode may result in order cancellation and account review.
2.8 Recognition Program
Automatic Enrollment: All agents automatically enrolled based on invoice billing.
Recognition Tiers:
- Bronze (Below ₹1 Lakh): Gift package worth ₹500
- Silver (₹1 Lakh – ₹2 Lakh): Gift package worth ₹1,000
- Gold (₹2 Lakh – ₹3 Lakh): Gift package worth ₹2,000
- Platinum (₹3 Lakh and above): Gift package worth ₹3,000
Gift Delivery: April after business season ends. Gifts are surprise items—specific items not revealed in advance.
No Additional Requirements: Recognition based solely on billing thresholds. No additional performance conditions or behavioral requirements.
2.9 Intellectual Property
All LekhaPara textbooks protected by copyright. Agents strictly prohibited from:
- Photocopying book content
- Scanning or digitally reproducing content
- Unauthorized reproduction of any kind
Violation results in immediate account termination and legal action.
2.10 Account Termination
LekhaPara reserves the right to terminate agent accounts for:
- Copyright infringement
- Fraudulent orders or payment
- Territorial violations after warning
- Unprofessional conduct or policy violations
Termination Process:
- Immediate suspension of portal access
- Outstanding orders cancelled (refunds as ledger credit)
- Written notice via WhatsApp
- No reinstatement of terminated accounts
Appeals: Agents may appeal by submitting written explanation via WhatsApp. LekhaPara reviews appeals within 7 business days. Final decision is binding.
3. Digital Educational Content Terms
3.1 Content Access
Digital educational content freely accessible without registration requirements. Content provided for personal educational purposes only.
3.2 Copyright Protection
All digital content is original work protected by copyright. As self-publisher, LekhaPara owns all intellectual property rights.
Prohibited Uses:
- Copying content for commercial purposes
- Republishing content on other websites or platforms
- Creating derivative works without permission
- Removing copyright notices or attribution
Permitted Uses:
- Personal educational use by students and teachers
- Printing for individual study purposes
- Sharing links to content (not copying content itself)
- Fair use for educational commentary or criticism
3.3 Content Accuracy Disclaimer
Content created for educational purposes and strives for accuracy. LekhaPara does not guarantee content is error-free or complete. Users should verify information with official curriculum materials. LekhaPara not liable for academic consequences from content use.
3.4 Educational Use Only
Content provided for personal educational purposes only. Not intended to replace formal classroom instruction. Teachers and students should use content as supplementary material. LekhaPara does not guarantee specific academic outcomes.
3.5 Content Updates

4. General Terms
4.1 Limitation of Liability
Physical Textbook Division:
- Liability for damaged or defective books limited to replacement or ledger credit equal to invoice value
- Not liable for indirect damages, lost sales, or business interruption
- Delivery delays caused by courier beyond LekhaPara’s control
- Maximum liability for lost shipments limited to invoice value
Digital Content Division:
- Not liable for damages arising from content use
- Maximum liability limited to amount paid (₹0 for free content)
- No liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Information Accuracy:
- Portal information (pricing, inventory, specifications) may contain errors
- LekhaPara reserves right to correct errors and cancel orders based on incorrect information
- Not liable for decisions made based on portal information
4.2 Force Majeure
LekhaPara not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government actions, strikes, pandemics, etc.).
4.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service governed by laws of India. All disputes fall under jurisdiction of Malda district courts in West Bengal.
4.4 Changes to Terms
LekhaPara reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes effective immediately upon posting on LekhaPara.in. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
4.5 Severability
If any provision of these Terms deemed invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
4.6 Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service constitute entire agreement between you and LekhaPara Publication regarding use of our services.
